Scrum Master

What will you do?

  • Own and be accountable for facilitating agile values, methods, principles, and practices for the delivery of products 

  • Facilitate Scrum events and ensure that all take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox

  • Help the team(s) agree on what they can achieve during each Sprint

  • Help the team(s) to make continuous progress by removing impediments, assisting with process and workflow improvements and protecting the team from distractions

  • Use experience to evaluate the Agile maturity of various teams and drive improvements where needed

  • Coach the team members in self-organisation and help them to focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done, reaching higher levels of Agile maturity

  • Support the Product Owner in defining and maintaining the Product Backlog and make sure that everyone on the team understands the product’s goal and backlog items

  • Work with a remote team of talented engineers in multiple time zones

  • Coach the organisation as a whole in progressive process change, creating an environment where it’s easy to align and synchronise  

  • Regularly collaborate with key members of all teams to facilitate and improve current processes

  • Collaborate with other Scrum Master(s) to drive positive change in the teams, and the organisation

What do you bring in?
  • Experience applying Agile practices within a variety of different software development organisations

  • Knowledge of relevant tools to support Agile delivery (e.g. Jira, Notion, Slack) 

  • Experience with scaled Agile frameworks is an advantage

  • Excellent communication skills and experience inside and outside of Agile teams

  • Software development lifecycle knowledge

  • A can-do attitude, result driven and willing and able to learn

  • Strong and collaborative problem solver

  • Experience in coaching and training individuals and teams in Agile concepts, practices and tools

  • Scrum Master certification is an advantage (e.g. PSM or CSM)

  • Experience with Jira software is an advantage

  • Business fluent in English
